How to read scientific articles easily:

1. Scanning 

The first step to take is to read through a quick scan of the article but keep these things in mind:

 A. Look carefully at the title, abstract, and introduction 

B. Read the head section and head subsection, but ignore what's in it. 

C. Read at a glance the mathematical content / formulas if any to determine the theoretical basis used 

D. Read the conclusion 

E. Glance at the reference, to see if there is a connection with what we have read before. 

2. Find the big question 

Start looking for big questions like what kind of research problem do you want to solve? 

3. Read the paper with great accuracy Read the paper with great care but ignore the too detailed parts such as evidence. Write down any themes that keep you from understanding, or the questions you want to ask the author. 

4. Draw conclusions After reading carefully try to draw conclusions from the article and don't forget to write down important questions and sentences.
